Ill manors film review

Ill Manors film review
Ill manors is a film which is set in London and is sort of like a documentary of what is going on in the streets of London but also like a thriller. Ill manors include many storylines, many to do with drugs and violence. There is sort of a main character in Aaron who is involved in more than one storyline and you see at the end of the movie that he is trying to change himself and this is what the movie is trying to tell us. Many people die within the film such as a so called gangster who has recently been released from prison who needs to get his phone back and lost it. In trying to track down his phone he is involved in many problems along the way and we get to see the real character of this gangster. When trying to get hold of his phone again he gets caught up in a situation with another gangster who he needs to give his gun back to, as a result of trying to do so he dies as there is a fire in the pub and this is where the gun is and by saving a child the man dies by falling off the pub top floor window. There are many other storylines such as a young black boy joining a gang and beating his own friend to do so and once joining this gang he also gets into his own problems and ends up killing an innocent girl, due to this him and his gang leader die. Also in the movie this mother who feels she has no choice but to abandon her child is involved with one of the protagonists Aaron as Aaron is the one who looks after the child, in the end she gets her child back and we see Aaron trying to move on with his life and you see the taxi driver who is driving Aaron is Plan B, which is trying to show us that there is a new life out there and Plan B is the one that is doing that as it has happened to him. Plan B also known as Ben Drew is the one who produced the film and is also like a narrator within the movie by rapping what is happening, also with music Labrinth is featured in some of the songs.

I myself enjoyed the movie personally, because I can relate to this type of genre in a way such as gangs and crime as I like this sort of stuff. I believe Ill Manors is very similar to programmes such as Top Boy as it is on the streets and shows you violence and drugs but also a storyline which hooks you in. I also believe you can learn something from the movie as in trying not to end up like the people within the movie and how important your life can be to you, Aaron is the prime example of this as you can see within the story he is trying to do some good even though at the same time he also does bad. The good we see Aaron doing is trying to help out the girl with money problems instead of her being used as a sex toy and also trying to help the mother out with her neglected baby. We then also see at the end where he decides to reject the chances of joining up with a gangster and instead moving on with his life and trying for change which I believe is one of the main messages within the story. I also like the way how Plan B produced the movie as he is an artist that I listen to which made me like the film more. On the website IMDb the film got rated 7/10 which I believe is a realistic rating, so as you can see from this rating which is also rated by many critics you can see that this movie is a good movie to watch. Also by having characters within the storyline who aren’t famous may also have helped make the movie a good watch due to the fact that if it was a big name movie star we would have not believed the storyline and thought that’s not really true as this actor is rich and popular, so by having actors who aren’t big and who are up and becoming benefited the storyline as we could build a relationship with the actors and believe the pain they are going through.
